<p>Food and grocery delivery platform Zomato is officially renaming the parent company to &#8220;Eternal,&#8221; marking a significant transformation.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The parent company unveiled a new logo and will transition its corporate website from zomato.com to eternal.com, pending shareholder approval.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Board approves new identity</h2>



<p>In a letter to shareholders on Thursday, Deepinder Goyal confirmed that the board has approved the name change. The move signifies a broader vision beyond Zomato’s core food delivery business.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The company will now operate four significant businesses: Zomato, Blinkit, District, and Hyperpure.</p>

<p>Deepinder Goyal revealed that Eternal has been used internally for two years—since Zomato acquired Blinkit.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The name distinguishes the company from the Zomato brand/app. Goyal emphasized that Eternal represents a promise and a paradox, stating, &#8220;True permanence isn’t built on bold claims of invincibility or the swagger of success.&#8221;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Zomato’s legacy and entry into the sensex</h2>



<p>Recalling Zomato’s journey from Foodiebay in 2007 to becoming the first Indian startup on the Sensex, Goyal shared how the company’s listing on December 23 last year marked a milestone.&nbsp;</p>



<p>He stressed that his motivation was never money but building something worthwhile.</p>



<p>The shift to Eternal marks a new era for the food-tech giant, but whether this ambitious move will resonate with customers and investors remains to be seen.</p>
