Google’s Gemini Assistant has a brand-new, simplified, and vibrant UI rolling out to Android users, although not everyone has it just yet.
The previous Gemini Assistant UI was a dark box packed with text and multiple buttons. Now, it’s transformed into a sleeker, more modern look.
The addition of a glowing pink and blue border has people comparing it to Apple’s Siri. This new aesthetic doesn’t just look good, it simplifies interactions by reducing clickable options and focusing on usability.
In the last 24 hours, many Android users have spotted the update and taken to Reddit and other forums to discuss it.
However, the rollout is slow, and not everyone is seeing the new UI immediately, even after updating their Gemini or Google apps.
This staggered release approach has been a common practice for Google, but it continues to annoy users.
What’s surprising is that even Gemini Advanced subscribers, who pay for priority access to new features, aren’t receiving the update ahead of others.
On the bright side, the updated UI is appearing across various Pixel devices, regardless of subscription status.
While the current update is purely aesthetic with no added features, it has raised expectations.
Many users are now calling for more functional improvements in upcoming updates, particularly given the paid nature of some of Google’s services.
